What is Digital Signage?

Digital signage is a sub segment of signage. Digital signage’s use technologies such as LCD and LED to display content (campaigns) such as digital images, video, streaming media, and information. If connected to a network you can edit campaigns easily at any time and every location. They can be found in public spaces, transportation systems, museums, stadiums, retail stores, hotels, restaurants, and corporate buildings etc., to provide wayfinding, exhibitions, marketing and outdoor advertising.

Who can use Digital Signage?

Our system is actually suitable for everyone. For each municipal organization, for each store and each company. Anyone can work with our system! Our system is a very effective and an efficient way to get people informed on an easy way, but also to market new products, offers and to increase brand awareness. In addition, digital signage work well as signage or information board within companies. It also does not matter if you have 1 display or in multiple locations. Or multiple screens in multiple locations. Our system is flexible, easy to use and easy to manage remotely.

Installation

I’m not technical, can I use Neovo Signage?

Yes of course! Anyone can work with our products. We have our systems in such a user-friendly way developed that general computer knowledge and our manuals are sufficient to start with signage. If you still prefer an example, then you can watch through our tutorial page useful instructional videos. If there are any questions, you can reach our helpdesk by mail and phone. Do I need Neovo Signage Software?

Yes, to guaranty best functioning, easy management functions and full service support, we only sell  (all-in-one) media player combined with software licenses.

How to start installation?

Connect you (all-in-one) media player to power, network and display. The first time the display will show a unique code. Navigate with mouse or Android pointer to main settings of the AndroidSet correct network setting on the player (Android). Please see for more detail the “Quick Start Guide”.

Is there a maximum number of players/displays to install?

There is no maximum number of displays that can be used in combination with our software. The only thing, is the number of licenses when purchased. For each player you need a license. AG Neovo can also help with duplication of only 1 campaign over multiple display on the same location.

Different players/displays on more locations can be managed from the software, again for each player you need a license.

Can you program the display for auto turn on/off?

Yes, you can. Our system has an option to indicate that the display should go on in the morning and should go off in the evening. Or, for example, that the display is switched on during office hours, shopping hours or other flexible hours of operation. This will save your energy.

About Software

Why should I choose Neovo Signage?

We can answer short: simplicity and convenience!

With our Web-based Android software is it very easy to publish a new campaign. Anyone can work on it. With the special digital signage software, the user chooses for a standard layout, or can design a customized template, for example, in the corporate branding. Upload the content and within seconds the message appears on the display. Multiple devices with the same and/or different content can be easily controlled from the same software environment. For the use of the software you need only an internet browser (and link) to create, manage and publish campaigns.

How does the software work?

Our professional player is Android based and with the built-in signage app on the player, you are able to publish a campaign by using our cloud based management software. You only need to be  connected to the internet. Multiple devices with the same and/or different content can be easily controlled and all from the same software environment. New layouts or campaigns can be designed with custom content or with our smart widgets which are included already.

So you only need to work with the web-based (in the cloud) software. From this environment yo can manage the players and campaigns. The Android app on the player will only display the chosen content on chosen schedule and is a closed software program. On the background of the Android app we also installed a demon software to control and manage the functioning of the player. If needed, the demon can reboot your player for better operation. The demon will also guarantee the signage is always running, even people will unasked play with the player or like to install 3rd party apps. 3rd party apps are not allowed and let the warranty expire on the players and its functionality.

Is my customer also able to work with the software?

NeovoSignage (by AG Neovo) will offer short training to their official dealers. In this training, the software will be explained to the dealers with the option their customers can start and manage the software themselves as well. If there are any questions or additional help is needed, we offer online tutorials to guide and instruct the clients. Of course our support team or one of our staff members will be happy to help you.

Can I also play sound?

Yes, you can. The players are equipped with sound over HDMI. All AG Neovo displays with HDMI input have integrated speakers. Also our all-in-one displays and kiosk have integrated speakers. If you like to use a bigger or existing sound installation, our media player offers an extra sound output over a 3,5” Jack-output.

What kind of licenses Neovo Signage offer?

Neovo Signage is offering 1 type of license for 1 or 3 year. Additional software or intelligent functions can be purchased separately. Soon we will launch our App Store to purchase these value added software easily.

Why are you using an Android based platform?

The digital signage solutions of Neovo Signage are based on the Android operating system. As a result, customers can also choose to use the different widgets that Android offers.

Apple (IOS) writes with many rules and uses a closed platform. Until recently Apple’s platform wasn’t accessible for 3rth party programmers. There are too many restrictions;

The environment of Android is open to design so we are able to create the best, simple and powerful functions, to guarantee the best performances a digital signage display should offer.

The Windows platform is less stable and needs frequently updates, which will result in more development time and cost.

Android offers widgets and new widgets are easy to program. The use of additional widgets makes our platform more powerful, which will result in extra features, data implementation, IP product integration and more attractive campaigns.

What are widgets?

The well-known widgets at Android are one of the greatest benefits of using this platform. Actually a widget is a small application that can be used in a digital signage campaign. And also multiple widgets at the same time, side by side. The purpose of using a widget in a digital signage solution is mainly to display information in an interactive way. Information from the internet or from an application can be displayed. For example a weather-widget can predict the local current weather or the multiple-day prediction. So no need to first go to a Web site for the weather forecast. The widget gets the information automatically and response quick. Content or complete campaigns can change by current weather information. Do you offer a warm meal, or ice-cream?

Think also of the use of CCTV camera’s, face or sign plate recognition or their intellectual software to control public movements, control the interest of your signage or the use of a virtual reception.
